Spent the Holidays at home with my wife and our two sons. - Powerofhope

Milestones Associated with Primary Central Nervous System (CNS) Lymphoma. Posted on January 5, 2014 View this journey (7 Experiences)

One year ago I was in a hospital room at Sloan Kettering having my second autologous transplant. This week was the week when my army of healthcare professionals worked very hard to manage my pain, which was by far the greatest pain I'd ever felt in my life despite 3 prior cancers and one prior transplant. I missed my oldest son's birthday and Christmas last year in order to have the most aggressive treatment possible in an attempt to cure my cancer for good. I explained to our boys that I was sacrificing the one for the many. This holiday season was unbelievable! I appreciated every minute more than I ever had. Gratitude is truly the greatest gift I received from my cancer experience. Every minute that you spend feeling grateful is a minute you are truly happy.
