Procedure or Surgery Associated with Brain and Spinal Cord Tumors in Adults. Posted on April 28, 2014 View this journey (7 Experiences)

Dr. was great at surgical skills of taking out a golf ball size tumor with a syrinx the length of my back. Did not prepare me for the rehab and emergency surgery after I was paralyzed from a blood clot in my spinal cord. First surgery 4/30/07 13 hours. Emergency surgery on 5/1/07 10 hours!! Had to go to Kessler Rehab to learn how to walk again. Was there 9 days of intense therapy but was able to walk out with a cane!! Chronic neuropathy now due to the cutting into my spinal cord and filleting it to remove the tumor.
