I did not suspect that I was at risk although there may have been evidence when mammogram was followed up with an ultrasound 1.5 years earlier -- and I shared my sister's (7 years my junior) hormone receptive breast cancer diagnosis three months prior to my own TNBC diagnosis. Outside of "our" diagnoses, there were no known risk factors in our family of eight sisters.

I have been quite surprised that the majority of women I have met with a diagnosis, never thought they were at risk.
