Procedure or Surgery Associated with Adenocarcinoma, Small Intestine Cancer. Posted on March 30, 2015 View this journey (8 Experiences)

A planned revision of an ileostomy turned into four surgeries, a diagnosis of stage III small intestine cancer, and a massive wound at the surgery site necessitating a wound vac. Not fun!

I'm sorry you have had a difficult time. It is difficult to be positive when you are hurting. I hope you begin to feel better soon, but remember the older we get, the longer it takes for our bodies to recuperate. I had 3 major surgeries in my 20s & 30s and got better in 2 to 6 weeks but I know those same surgeries would take longer to heal at 83. Take it one day at a time and keep in touch. God bless you.
