Celebration Associated with Ovarian and Fallopian Tube Cancer. Posted on October 20, 2011 View this journey (11 Experiences)

First post-op with Dr. A. today. Things went very well! Finally got a stage and grade (Stage IIB epithelial serous and a low grade). This apparently is great because it's such a slow growing tumor, and he just wants me to come in every few months for the next 5 years for CA-125, ultrasound, and check-up. It looks like I probably won't even need chemo. This is sooo goood! I feel like the luckiest person in the world. God is good.
I'm wondering if I should get a second opinion, just in case. But maybe I should just take what he said and rejoice.
I'm going to celebrate by eating an eclair.

Today I go for my first post op appt with oncologist. Hoping to find out stage and type of ovarian cancer. So scared. Keep thinking I will hear something I don't want to. Oh well....here we go!
