Initial biopsy said the lump was not cancer, but my doctor and I still felt that it needed to come out. Biopsy of the tumor showed Acinic Cell Carcinoma. Because we did not think it was cancer, my surgeon only removed the tumor and no surrounding tissue. My second and third opnion want me to have a third surgery to remove the entire right parotid and biopsy the surrouding tissue and lymph nodes. Was not thinking that a third surgery would be happening and now overwhelmed.
