Drug or Chemo Therapy Associated with Bile Duct (Cholangiocarcinoma) Cancer. Posted on September 10, 2012 View this journey (4 Experiences)

I am given a drug before my chemo to help minimize side effects.I can't remember the name of it but gemzar and cisplatin are the chemo drugs. After 2 more tx there will be no more cisplatin. When I was diagnoised, we found Dr using Theresperes filled with y90. It was successful in killing out existing tumors.

Gemzar has been keeping my tumor at bay for over 7 months. Very few side effects.

Bellamore, I am certainly glad to hear this!! Last week my oncologist reduced by chemo cocktail from Cisplatin and Gemzar to just Gemzar (she was worried about what the effects from Cisplatin were doing to my body. I'm fighting the battle and plan to win!!
