Oh No Associated with Pancreatic Cancer. Posted on December 29, 2011 View this journey (2 Experiences)

I was having severe pain in my side when I finally gave in and went into urgent care. As time progressed, they sent me to have a CAT scan. After the CAT scan they saw some things that they were worried about. Well after several tests and an biopsy surgery, My husband and myself were sitting in the doctor's office when we were told that I have cancer. I started shaking and crying uncontrollably. My husband was crying and then the oncologist explained three options.
1. do nothing and live 4 to 6 months
2. Take the strongest chemo and maybe live up to a year.
3. See if the the surgeon will preform the Whipple procedure on me. As of this date. December 29, 2011 I am waiting to talk with surgeon on January 3, 2012 to see if he will preform this surgery.
