I am so sorry you were dismissed by your doctor. My daughter in law had breast cancer when our grandson was 3 and it is very scary when you have little ones. I too was ignored by my gynecologist and delayed diagnosis for close to 1 year. Thankfully you made the switch and now you can move forward with treatment. Best of luck to you!

I had been in pain for years. My gynecologist, whom I had known for years, dismissed me continually. Their new system was to complete pap smears every three years, instead of every year. I had to switch doctors to get a diagnosis.

Pap years every 3 years is insane. I'm sorry to hear that they kept dismissing your concerns. Something similar happened to me as well. Thinking back on it, it still angers me. Nothing I can do about the past. I'm am glad to hear you were able to find a doctor to finally help you. I know for me personally, the suckiest part was not knowing what was wrong. Many a sleepless night and many many tears. Once I was diagnosed, even if it was cancer, at least I knew what it was. I then focused all my energy on the plan of attack to beat this. Sending hugs your way.
