Implant chemotherapy port - TammyM

Procedure or Surgery Associated with Breast Cancer. Posted on October 2, 2011 View this journey (3 Experiences)

On December 28, 2010 my port implant was scheduled and this time I remember up until the time I was in the operating room and was told to count backwards from 100. I think I made it to 98 or 99. Like the last time, I recovered well and went home the same day.

Hi, It's no fun is it !! I was diagnosed on Dec.23rd.2010. Had a right mastectomy on Jan.31st 2011. I declined any further treatment though chemo was very strongly advised, but they also said the cancer would most probably return withing 2 yrs even if I had the treatment, so I declined. I've been fine and feel good. I've just started having a breast reconstruction which I hope will be finished by the end of the year. I'm having a silicone implant.
    Cheers. :-)
