I have checked with both places. The AMS at first told me that Road to Recovery was available in my area - then when I called to schedule a ride - they renigned - it is not available here. My social worker at the hospital has applied for grants for me and I am so very appreciative for that, but, the total dollars coming may only help me with $300 - $600 travel money. That will get me there at the most 8 times - I have 12 rounds of treatment equaling 24 visits in 6 months. I am not knocking this - I sincerely am thankful for all the prayers that have been answered for me. I am just frustrated right now and have considered not taking chemo. The other frustrating part - my hospital has an outreach center about 20 minutes from me where I could go for treatment, but I don't have the right insurance to cover it! I am resigned to just taking this one day at a time and letting God sort it out! The answers will come from somewhere.

Another idea is to contact the American Cancer Society to see if they can help of if they have suggestions. Their phone number is to the right and at the bottom of this page. Are you involved with a religious institution? They are often happy to help.
