Procedure or Surgery Associated with Papillary, Transitional Cell (Urothelial) Carcinoma. Posted on August 6, 2014 View this journey (6 Experiences)

After completion of chemo, my urologist told me I needed to have bladder removed for best chance of survival. I have 2 middle school age children, so I did what any single mother would do. I had bladder removed and receive a neo-bladder. It has been 3 months, and I would be lying if I said it was easy. It was hard but I made it and they say within a year my neobladder should start to respond like a bladder ( not the same, but with training should restore as close to normal as possible) I wish I would of had someone who I could have talked to, I went into this blindly.
