Hi Bug, not sure, will find out fri. yesterdays visit didnt turn out as well as expected, i had a slight movement in the bone. if it stays, it will probably heal ok, if it moves more, they recommend surgery. i will go for a 2nd opinion, before i make that decision. i'm bummed.. thanks for checking in..

Hello all. Good news I have officially been upped to every 6 months for blood work and once a year for Mammo, no more every 6 months lat mammo. Although it makes me a little nervous, it also gives me hope that I have beaten the beast, I pray for good... As I do for everyone else. Those still in the fight, keep at it, stay strong (as possible) never lose hope or faith. God Bless...

After having good tests and feeling good, the past year and 6 months, I finally had my port removed Monday. It kinda felt like my little crutch ( u know going every month for my flush, seeing my Nurses, etc.) I don't see my Oncologist until July so I'm still kinda antsy...but I remain positive and pray all stays well. Wishing you all well..

I haven't seen you on here for a while. I'm glad you're doing well. Me too :). Did you have your port taken out at the hospital, doctor's office or somewhere else? My breast surgeon has dismissed me and I never met the cardiologist who put it in. My oncologist says it's not a big deal.

Yeah my Surgeon removed it in the hospital. I wanted to catch her before she left, she's going to the next state to practice.

We will follow up in 3 mons w/another blood test (I'm pushing for aPet scan also). If all is well, he said we can think about taking the port out....so happy been fighting since 2012, happy to know I made positive progress....there is hope...

Yay...I finally finished chemo (again)...My Oncologist said all my blood work looks good. Now the big test will be next month, when I go for my Pet/Cat scan (3 months from last one). The last time I did the scan I was still in treatment, so I'm praying for the best results yet...Trying to stay focused on staying healthy, eating right (most of the time) I do allow myself "cheats" and maybe a glass or two of wine here & there and I am trying to get back to my exercising, but taking it a little slower..Still feeling the after effects of a year of treatment. Hope this posts finds everyone else well..

Well I finished my 5th (9th if u count the1st time round) of chemo, Adriamycin. I've felt ok all along, but this 5th treatment did NOT agree w/me... I think my body is getting really tired...I had a headache (not a regular one) the only thing that helped was ice on the head. Now I'm getting pain in the feet, my feet were so red yesterday I had to stay on of them most of the time. Ice also helped..Ice is my best friend nowadays...lol...So I'll see what today brings...I am not one to sit, I just did a little exercise I want to see how my feet handle it...and how was you day??? Just needed to vent..Onc says one more treatment to go....yay. Pet scan was good. I will be doing a chest xray & mammo (per my surgeon). Praying for good results all around..and for all of you also:)

Finished 3 rd chemo on Tuesday. I see the Onc on Thursday, he will schedule a Pet Scan. Depending on the results I will have 1 more or 3 more chemo treatments. Praying nothing spread and that we killed this beast..So much going on this time, i didn't have time to worry about my side effects..My hubby was in the hosp for surgery again (third time to the stomach area) 2nd time to fix an incisional hernia caused from the initial whipple surgery...Hard because he can't do lifting extra, so it all falls on me..But this to shall pass..I just have to remember to rest a little bit..

      Hey Bug...
My onc didn't want to schedule the pet scan yet (a wasted visit if u ask me) anyway, I do my 4th treatment Tuesday & he will see me during treatment and schedule. i am not leaving there until an appt is made....He also wants me to do the 6 instead of 4, so 3 more treatments...I was feeling a bit crappy the past few days (pains in the breast and the area around the port). I'm thinking & praying it's just from all the stress. Hubby had to go back in the hosp for emergency surgery. Now he's home, healing not able to do much, so u know how that is...and yes like u said if it ain't one thing it's another& in our case ten is correct..But I am grateful cause I got to celebrate another birthday!!! Today is mine (51) & my Mom's (84) so I do feel blessed. Hope all is well on your end..

Well I finished the 2nd session of chemo. I'm calling today my "recovery day" (5 days after session) I actually feel like moving around, I did some yoga exercises. But I need to remember to take it slow, 1 step at a time..(I tend to push myself to much). I am a bit depressed because I am losing my hair (should be out by Monday) for the 2nd time around. I did get a new cute short wig, which I am looking forward to playing around with (it's the little things). One thing I'll mention the CNP, asked if I had pain, I said yes, I've been taken Vicioden after treatments as needed. He said I'll give u something else, he prescribed Morephine, I did not like it one bit, so I stopped...I got flushed, a felt like I was gonna break out in hives, just not worth it. The pain passes...Be well all & have a great weekend:)

Wishing you the best, a friend of ours who had BC and a mastectomy went last week to have some new lumps checked out. They turned out to just be cysts of some type. She was convinced they were new cancer and was already deciding to not have treatment, was the classic gloom and doom type person. She is quiet happy now!

I must say it's such a beautiful day outside...I took my little dog for a walk, just enjoyed the fresh (chilly) air (made sure to bundle up, hat, scarf, gloves..I actually did a very easy & fun workout, called Yoga Booty Ballet...I'm hoping I didn't do to much, I sometimes tend to do that. But it felt so good to move the body around a bit.

Hoping everyone else can find some joy (no matter how small) today. Be well:)

    Hi Beach56,
Thanks for the heads up..the nurse told me to take claritin (allergy pill) after the shot, which I did. I also took one this morning and I also took 2 extra strength tylenol earlier, gonna take a few more shortly. They told me I could take my percocet that I was given after the surgery, but I didn't like the percocet, all it did was made me nausea and didn't help w/the pain. If the tylenol doesn't help I'll try the advil. Congrats on finishing your chemo...Hope you are feeling well..do you have to do any radiation? Thanks for responding, let's stay in touch...Barb:)
