Every day getting closer to having my life back. Getting my head right is the biggest obstacle half of the time. I didn't want to hear that I had a XXX attitude from a close friend and it is hard to admit that he was right but he was. I am so blessed and this journey has brought so much to my life, most of all appreciation for what I had, what I have and what I will have once more.

I am hosting my first support group for cancer survivors diagnosed under the age of 40 tonight, less than two years since my own diagnosis. I am so excited it will be a small group tonight but I am hoping it will gain momentum. I am pretty lucky to have a lot of support from my boss and I have started making connections with American Cancer Society and stupidcancer.com. Wish me luck! :)

The group was a success! It was amazing to see this small group share their experiences, resources and provide eachother with validation and inspiration. I am so glat I changed my career so I can be here with them. I will definitely get in touch with you when I need support! Thank you!

has anyone had petechiae (broken capillaries you get after vomiting) on your reconstructed breast? It has happened a couple of times and they fade but nevertheless I am concerned. And, of course, to freak me out all the more, it is only on the side that had the cancer...

Found out that if all goes well I will be off of Zometa and Zolodex next March...still a long way off but I am so tired of taking meds! I wanted this all to be over in a year and of course that was a pipe dream and I now know that I will never be able to pretend like this never happened but I am so glad to be making progress.

    Blessed!
