Nothing like being on Oral Chemo for two years. Spleen removed for biopsy then finding out that the cancer they thought had matastisized throughout my lymph nodes is only in the orginal location in the thyroid cavity.
Two years of dealing with diarrea, hair color change and extreme fatigue. Thinking that its just buying me time. I know this can happen but it happened to me. Then it is not all comfirmed now another doctor to test to see what really was going on.
I will rejoice if it is this somple. By the way having a spleen taken out is painful nothing simple.

I have been in a oral chemo for little over two years. It is showing sign of slow shrinkage of my cancer. My last PET scan showed some areas of concern. I have had a Endroscopy which showed nothing but irritation most like due to meds so I am taking antacid for that then they check my female organs things seems to be in order. Now the next area liver and spleen to be checked. The only way to biopsy a spleen is to remove it so in 12 days I get my spleen removed....oh yay. :(. I was disappointed when they told me they could not do liposuction even tho they will be in that area. Well it was worth asking. At this time I feel I have made gallons of lemon aide keeping my sunny side up. I have to much to live for, for this to get me.
It has been four years since my first diagnoses and two when I was told it was back and had metastasized. I am thankful for modern med that has got me this far and to God for giving me the strength not to give up.
