I just want to say I've had a really good week! It has been over a year since I've been able to say that! I know most people don't understand what an accomplishment this is. I most definitely did not! I have a chemo treatment in a week and a half, however, I'm going to cherish this time! I have stage Vl lung cancer and I have it I'm many different places, 2 new spots this month, but I'm a fighter! Life is short.......I'll be darned if I help it become shorter with my attitude! Long live all of us!

Right now my cancer is staying quiet. If I can stay like this for the next 16 weeks, I will be able to back on my original chemo. Fingers crossed......prayers please! Ps... I love this site!

My cancer is stable. No cure, but stable thank god! If I can stay stable for the next 16 weeks, I will be able to go back on the original chemo that has been working on my cancer but messing up my platelets. Fingers crossed, prayers said.

Keep the Stable going. I think aggressive cancers can sometimes slack off and become less insistent at which time we should give healing strategies a big push.

My platelets keep dropping. I am unable to get my last treatment. My doc is talking about a phase one trial. Has anyone else done this.?

I am on my 5 th dose of chemo. It is supposed to be once every three weeks for 6 treatments then 8 weeks off and retest. The last two times my platelets have been to low and this added 2 to 3 weeks more between waits. This is my last time before my break in treatments, but, every week my platelets keep dropping week one 94,000 just a bit to low) the next week, 72,000 this week 55,000. My doc is giving me one more week to reverse directions. My question,..... does this happen often to people. The nurse said my chemo is just catching up to me. They don't seem to worried at this point. I wish there was something that I could eat, drink, or do to raise my platelets but the doc says no. I guess I'm looking for this to be kinda normal for this point in my treatment. Has it happened to many of you?
