I think this happened while Bernie was in the hospital with his heart attack. I just can't imagine how all of this is affecting the children. They must be reeling with everything.

This is very sad. Cancer does not discriminate if you are rich or poor, famous or not, and it takes people of any race, religion, or color. Cancer is awful! And we all lose our loved ones to this monster. Let's pray for the Sanders family as they go through all of this.

So, so sad. Clinda is so right, cancer is an equal opportunity disease. Has no regard for age, race, religion, etc. My heart goes out to the Sanders family.

That is such a sad story. The greedy robber barons are destroying our planet and they just don't care. They already have more money than they could spend in a hundred lifetimes but they just want more, more, more.

One bright note; I haven't been able to keep my field mowed because of, well, chronic illness, and it's come up with a million milkweeds and other "weeds" aka wild flowers. This year it has been alive with Monarch butterflies. I love to see them and just heard a feature on radio that they are making a comeback. Yay!

I agree with you, Bengal. I’m glad that young people (and others) all over the world are becoming climate change activists. Meyati, that is heartbreaking.

Congratulations Meyati!!! You give me hope. It's nice to hear it was MD Anderson too. Sometimes I wonder if there is really a chance of getting better, but you are living proof.

tonight levi came in and said-- Grandma-- your face looks good---I so hope that it's a cure. I never liked meat balls- especially meatball subs. With this problem, I just had to have an Italian meatball. Today I fixed up Italian meat balls, and i had a sub---I could eat it without my lips hurting it itching.
