Things have been really hectic lately.
They changed the financial aid at the hospital that did all my tests and I have to start the whole process over. Therefore, I still have not had my PET scan...sigh.
On a high note..I have hair..not much..but at least I can go hatless and wigless..woot!!
Lots of love and hugs for all!!

I went through the whole financial process for about a year trying to get help with my dental issues. It was a nervous mess. Then all of a sudden the hospital called one day and said, " I need to set up and appointment for you". I about fell over.

I loved it when I could give up the wig. Especially in the Texas summer! I actually got a lot of compliments on my "fuzzy" look. People loved feeling of my "baby duck down". Haha! Praying for you to get that PET scan soon, and make it a clear one, please! :)

I just want you guys to know, all of you are in my thoughts and prayers daily! This site and my fellow warriors have made this encounter with cancer so much easier to swallow. I love you guys!

Brrrr!! It's cold here! Dad is still in the hospital. He may be coming back to town but into a nursing home. We almost lost him to a reaction he had to the A-fib medications. He's not doing well but holding his own for now. Chaos is too mild a word for the present :) I have chemo #5 on Wednesday...woot..over the hump! It will be 5 down and 3 to go once Thursday arrives!

I hope everyone is feeling great and kicking cancer's arse!!!! Keep up the good fight!

Ugh...my dad went to ER last night about 3am. We thought he was having diabetic issues since he was nauseated Friday night. I just found out that apparently he had a heart attack at some point yesterday and they are care flighting him to Tyler now. He is doing okay at the moment, they are going to determine how much damage may have occurred to his heart. Sigh..he has beaten two cancers, has one kidney, Jacksonian seizures, brain surgery, heart surgery, and diabetes. The man is a true warrior. Grrrrrr

PET scan is clean! No hot spots, all previous hot spots are gone. I still get to complete the 8 chemo treatments (4 down, 4 to go) and there is still a possibility of radiation when chemo is completed if the original nodes were bulky (Dr. had to send off for the original sizing since they were not included in the first results). Somehow I just don't think I had any softball sized nodes :)

I'd be dancing on air if the darn chemo was not making me feel like a bloated toad full of toxic waste!

It's gotta be hot out there in Texas! Smart to keep the dome covered :) I have gotten a lot more used to it, and I go out sans cap sometimes! It's still all patchy too-- I haven't really had the energy to fix the weird spots yet. I swear I won't let my eyebrows go.. even if I have to tape those suckers on!

I still walk by a mirror and do a double take, lol. I haven't cleaned mine up either..still a complete layer of fuzz but at least it won't be so irritating if it comes out as well. I went all G.I. Jane today..cute little camo hat with flashy silver doodads on it :)

That's right about when mine started falling out too. Boy did I ever clog the drain! I think it was the turning point of me accepting that I actually have cancer. When things started getting too messy, I went to the salon and had it buzzed off. Right after, I went hat shopping and had a great lunch!

Don't forget to try hats that you would have never considered before! I have quite the collection now :)

Hey! That's very useful! Thanks for the share! I have been using Google Calendar. I set up a different label color for "side effects" and just type them in as I experience them. I may have to print out one of these to try out. Might take less time to keep up with. I hope your worksheet is filled with plenty of "none" and "mild"!
