PERSPECTIVE and ATTITUDE are very important in our journeys...allow yourself a short time to be "down" but dont linger there very long....I watched a movie the other day that I found an interesting exercise in PERSPECTIVE...it sounds odd, maybe even negative, but it wasnt...."Seeking a friend for the end of the world"...its an odd paced comedy/love story about the end of the world....a meteor is going to hit Earth in 30 days....the PERSPECTIVE and humor is in how different people react to same situation.....much like the meteor we face in cancer...give it a try

Its been a long 3 years since I learned of my cancer...I've endured the embarrassing and sometimes painful tests and probing, the robotic surgery, post surgery radiation, and am still dealing with plumbing issues, but my life is back to a "new normal" and I am positive.
For those in various points in your journey, I only offer that I found a positive attitude and drive to stay active has helped me through all of my crap. I tell myself it is ok to be depressed and nonmotivated once in awhile, but I dont STAY there.

I'm happy you've found a positive area to live in while dealing with this. Yes, it sucks, but what are we going to do about it? We can't go back and not get cancer, can we? So I choose to be like you, have a positive outlook on it, try to find something to be thankful for in everyday and move on.

If it weren't for cancer, I'd say I have the perfect life......If it weren't for cancer, would I even realize this?
