Oncologist follow up ..blood work and CT scan results today @11:30. Only good vibes people's..lol

    Update..
CT scan shows a nodule on my lung.
She has no previous CT scans to compare it to. I have old scans that my oncologist told me to hold onto I took them to my first meeting.. So I'm to bring them to my next CT scan as well. As my first one done at that hospital.
She doesn't think its a new cancer, but can't rule it out. Going to do a CT scan again in 3-4 months to compare it.
As for My pain and nausea and anxiety. No changes to drugs. Still have to get a family Dr.
And she's glad I have my colonoscopy coming up April 1st and that I had met with that Dr.
Feeling really sick again so sat in the car while Gord did laundry..and groceries.

Chemo put on hold again as i had a severe reaction to the last Chemo again and ended up with a rash on 60% of my body that wouldnt heal and had me in pain and i couldnt walk. Was sent to an emergency dermatologist appoint to do a biopsy on it. Finally got on a new ointment and seems to be helping some. But my nausea and gagging have been severe. My oncologist put me on steriods but they made me too anxious and jittery so i was told to stop them. Trying yet another anti nausea medication to see if this helps.

I feel so bad for you - you've been having such a hard time. If it's not one thing it's another, not fair. Are you still on Folfox or did they switch you to something else? Hope the rash heals quickly and praying your pain & nausea go away. Bonnie

Got my Port removed today.. whewww 2nd try first time i was sent back home as i had a blood clot and they said they didnt want to take the chance. Today it has been removed. I am not done Chemo just have had problems with my port from day 1.. no blood access and 3 out of 5 times couldnt do Chemo through it.. was blocked.. so now decided to remove it all together to stop any further problems and continue Chemo through arm IV instead

I hope you do well with the IV in the arm treatments. I had two in each arm and then had to have the port, my veins couldn't handle it. Maybe you will do great!

Just got a call from my oncologist re my ultrasound yesterday and now i have a blood clot surrounding my port..
Have to see her tomorrow after getting my port out in the Chemo lab.
Said may have to put me on blood thinners.

i am so tired of nothing but bad news seems i take one step foward and get shoved back each and everytime.

But things havent gone right since this whole cancer.. it has been one thing after another.. i cant take anymore.
didnt get my port out today got there changed into gown.. all ready my oncologist called my cell was coming up to talk to the surgeon.. then she called me in .. surgeon didnt think it was a good idea to remove it with the blood clot.. do to blood thinner needles for a few weeks and then check again and maybe have port removed and then continue on the blood thinners for awhile more..
so got dressed and headed back to the chemo lab to get my needle in my stomach..
and now have a nurse coming to my house tomorrow to teach me how to do the needle myself.
hate needles not even sure i will be able to do this.

Awww, I'm sorry it's tough. If it's any help for you I had needles in my belly during a stay in the hospital after a surgery a few years ago. I thought NO WAY! But it turns out they don't hurt much at all in the belly. I hope things turn around for you!

Well went for my Linogram today and shows my Port is blocked.. so have had a discussion with my oncologist and we have decided to remove it .. so i go in this Thursday to have it removed.
Since i am no longer on 5FU and Oxiplation and having chemo 3 days in a row. We decided that we can do my new Chemo cocktail through IV instead.
Then was sent for a ultrasound to make sure looks ok and no infections,
Also have appoint thurs afternoon as well at the dermatologist office to check out the rash i have been getting after the last 2 Chemos

Ready for something good to happen instead of all the setbacks.

Hope you do well and don't miss that port. Mine had to be replaced too, it stopped working for some reason but they took it out and put another in at the same time. I wouldn't want to not have one. Hopefully your treatments will not mess up your veins any further. Let us know how the tests and visits go.

Made it to my 3rd Chemo of the new chemo of Oxiplation and Ralitirexed
. yeahhhh .. further than i got doing the oxiplation and 5FU ..
Had problems with my port again today though.
Hurt like heck when they were flushing it before chemo was to start and part above the port looked swollen..went down soon after they stopped trying to access it.
So had Chemo through arm IV again today.
And now have an appointment for another Linogram on tues morning to check the port out.
