How do you know if your doctors are "good" or "very good". I didn't see our dr or hospital listed on the cancer.org website. Is that a bad thing? Not sure how to go about getting second opinion with insurance limitations. My dad is just starting this process and I am trying to "funnel" as much information as I can for him so he has choices. Would love to find someone to chat with about this windy road ahead.

Your best bet is to go with a teaching hospital if at all possible. A major medical school will be doing a lot of research and clinical trials, so that's where the best and most knowledgable doctors will be.

Always available to chat. It's a very windy road!! My husband is stage 4 esophageal cancer (not operable). Not much fun.
