My daughter has chosen to bring her boyfriend to her treatments and told my husband and I th at she feels that she needs to start being an adult (she is 19) and deal with this on her own.
She hasn't had the lymph node biopsy yet to see if it has spread..and I am hurt, naturally, but scared that if the cancer has spread she will be afraid to ask for our support.
We have always been super close and feeling shut out and on the "phone list" of people to keep updated has shaken me.
