Follow-up apt with orthopedic oncologist tomorrow. Getting first set of follow-up xrays to make sure there are no changes in enchondromas after discovery of new one in left proximal humerus 4 months ago.

First appointment with orthopedic oncologist tomorrow. My stomach is doing flip flops. Scared that they are going to find more bone tumors.

I know you're scared about going because you're afraid they're gonna find something...I know that feeling all too well, when I have to go for my mammograms I feel the same way and I've been having them since the age of 29 because my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. I've had to have the diagnostic kind too...I've had to have 2 biopsy's done 1 in each breast and had to play the waiting game and pray. I decided to put it in God's hand's and give it to Him so I could stay calm. Good luck tomorrow, and let me know what you find out. I will be praying for you. Hang in there and keep your head up :). If you need me, I am here for you.

So I'm not really sure that I belong here yet, but I am finding others posts most helpful. I don't have an official diagnosis yet, but I may have a type of bone cancer. I have two bone tumors that have been discovered so far. I am praying that the most recent enchondroma discovered in my humerus is not chondrosarcoma. The enchondroma in my femur was found many years ago and appears to be benign. I was referred by my orthopedic surgeon to an orthopedic onconogist and was given a choice of a doctor at Rush in Chicago, who has apparently been following my films for 5 years, or going to Madison, WI. My initial appointment is next Wednesday. I have pain in the site of the humerus tumor, so I don't have a good feeling about this. I know they are going to do a complete body scan to look for more bone tumors. I am a divorced mother of two beautiful girls, ages 7 and 10. I'm sad, worried, and anxious.
