Good Morning Prostate Cancer Veterans ... Hoping this finds you well and enjoying the pleasures of summer... It's been raining here in West Central Florida almost everyday... great for the lawn.. but puts a damper on my BBQ's.. LOL.. Oh well... at least I'm alive and feeling pretty good ;-) .... Seems that most... if not all of the side effects from my radiation treatments have subsided..
Whew...! I was getting a little worried for a time... thinking when will I get back to being me... but as with most things in life and this journey, time ... has a way of setting things straight. Still feeling a little tired by the end of the day... but that could also be due to the fact that my body is sixty one.. while my mind still thinks it's thirty something... It's been a year and a few months since my RP surgery, no symptoms of incontinence remain... Sadly can't say the same about the other functions in that area... but I'm not giving up hope.... I hear from other men that it took upwards of two years for the nerves that were "spared" to wake up from the coma so to speak.... If any of you out there are having concerns or looking for more answers... check out Facebook's Prostate Cancer Men's support page @ http://www.facebook.com/groups/218375378219873/ lot's of good info and people who are on the same journey as we are...
Again... wishing you all good "Outcomes" on your journey...
Peace..... Larry "The Wizard" Siegfried :-)... -

I'm concerned (scared) that since my PSA was so low initially.. and now that it is rising again.. that it may be resistant to radiation... and continue to elude treatment... ?
