11 Fruits and Vegetables That Can Fight Cancer

Another article telling us what foods will "fight off cancer". Take it with a grain of low iodine salt.

When it comes to cancer, it does not discriminate against healthy bodies and non-healthy bodies. Let’s start there. There is no food out there that will prevent cancer, but there are foods that can help reduce your risk and help your body fight whatever may come. "An excellent way to add variety to your cancer-fighting food list is to make sure you include a variety of colors," says celebrity nutritionist and health coach Karin Adoni Ben-David. "You can get the most protection by eating a wide range of plant foods. Aim to build your diet around a variety of antioxidant-rich fruit and vegetables, nuts, beans, and healthy fats. At the same time, try to limit the amount of processed and fried foods, unhealthy fats, sugars, and refined carbs you consume."

I’m with Greg and Bengal. We should all eat well but that doesn’t necessarily protect us from cancer. I have eaten well since my early 20’s....organic fruits/veggies, free range chicken, grass fed beef, limited pork, sugar etc. Still got breast cancer. And we all know people who ate poorly, smoked, didn’t exercise, etc and died in their sleep as very old people. I’ve decided it’s all a crap shoot when it comes to cancer......genetics, environment, etc all play into it and we have limited control at best.

I don't think eating certain foods can ever prevent or cure cancer. What I do believe is "you are what you eat" and if you eat healthy it will help you be healthy. The healthier you are the better your chances of fighting the beast.

@Dawsonsmom, i 100% agree with you. We can do everything right and still become a cancer statistic. Or everything wrong and die of old age. I resolved long ago that i was going to be happy and eat what I like, not what might or might not cause or cure cancer. The list changes by the day and what was bad last year is good this year and vice versa.
