      Hi rosefeeney,

Just wanted to reach out and welcome you, and to let you know that there are several women on here with triple negative breast cancer, such as:

Plus others, too. I am sure they (and/or others) will response to you real soon. In the meantime, I wanted to let you know that you are not alone. =)

Wishing you a 2012 filled with love.

My wife is triple negative, stage IV. What is ACT chemotherapy? She has already taken xeloda and ixebephilone and is currently taking eribulin (and metformin experimentally). We're not having much luck. I'd love to hear from you. Thanks.

good morning - i'm one cycle out of being finished with chemo for triple negative. i'm in a clinical trial, which is called ispy2.

i had 12 weeks taxol with carboplatin added on weeks 1,4,7,10.
for 12 weeks i took an experimental drug - a parp inhibitor.
i have had 3 of my four cycles of ac (which suck - i'm sorry - it's just tru).
      week 3 MRI showed shrinkage
i had about 3 weeks delay due to low blood counts, most likely because of the experimental drug / carboplatin combo.
at week 15 (i think it was 15 or 16), i had non mass like ehnacement in my MRI - i.e., contrast that was no longer consistent with cancer... there could still be tiny bits of cancer there.... but WOW!!!! two weeks after my final ac, i'll have one more mri.....

then, it'll be approx 3-4 weeks after last ac before surgery - bilateral mastectomy.

please feel invited to pop me an invitation to email.
best wishes... i'm so sorry we share this diagnosis....

seems like i'm near the end of what you're about to begin.

I have finished 3 cycles of ac. I will have to wait to do the fourth as I am in the hospital with a white blood cell count of .3 because my expander got infected somehow. It has been removed and I am on the mend again, but I have to tell you, through all of this my worst fear was that I was going to have to start over. AC is not fun. My oncologist put that fear to rest. I will only still have one more ac and then it will be 12 taxols. If you have specific questions let me know I would be happy to help with my experience (keeping in mind it is different for everyone)

oh - katie - i'm so sorry that happened with you!!!! how awful!
i had some low blood counts on the taxol carboplatin step.... got down to that magic below 0.5.... when they tell you to stay away from people... luckily, i've evaded the hospital so far - knock on wood fifty thousand times!

Diagnosed July 2011 at age 38 with stage 2a triple negative. Never heard of this type before then. started radio for 12 weeks with clinical trial of carboplatin mixed in every 3rd treatment. week 13 started adriamycin and cytoxin every other week for 4 treatments. Final chemo was Dec 7, 2011. I opted for double mastectomy with reconstruction. I've been looking for others with same type of cancer to share and support. glad I found this.

Diagnosed in July 2013. I had triple negative with 8 weeks of cytoxin and adriamycin every two weeks with herceptin alongside. I had a unilateral mastectomy with immediate reconstruction.
