Another Poll for long term survivors: How long since you were diagnosed the first time?
I thought I would ask this again since we add several hundred new people each week to the site. For me it's now 27 years, so let's hear from everyone!

Almost 6 years now!! amazing given my diagnosis. I have Stage IV melanoma, and it is a bad cancer to have. Thanks to research, we sufferers have some hope now.

Hi I was dx with Carcinoid cancer in 2001 (going to be 14 yrs) I still have this rare slow growing cancer. The in March it'll be 1 yr since my uterine cancer dx.

On March 19 It will be 5 years since diagnosis of Stage IV esophageal cancer. Odds at that time were 12% (lower for women)

I was DX'd June 4, 2012, stage 0 with hyperplasia. Very small amount of cancer in the duct. Had a BL mastectomy on June 28, 2012. Had negative lobes in the left breast. So this June it will be 3 years for me.

30 years ago (December 1984) I was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma. After my original diagnosis it came back in Decemer 1985 and December 1986. I was given 3 months to live when they found the third tumor in January 1987. I have been in remission for almost 28 years. To God be the Glory!

It has been 13 years since I was diagnosed with a squamous cell carcinoma and 26 years since I first asked for the growth which was eventually diagnosed as squamous cell to be removed. I was refused in my request for 13 years too.

Almost 6 years since I was diagnosed with Stage 3 rectal cancer. In fact, I just got the final all clear from my oncologist yesterday, and am now picking out my "after cancer" tattoo! NEVER give up hope!!
