Anybody out there experience muscle wasting away at site where radiation hit your body?

I have. It seems to be worsening. I would love to find someone else with similar experience. I had radiation 29yrs ago for hodgkins lymphoma.

In the past year I have had 40 treatments on my thighs for skin Lymphoma (20 each leg) and I have had no decrease as far as I can tell. Oncologist said I should have no noticeable side effects. I am not sure that is true totally but if any it has not be obvious.
      I am 75 years old.
If it has been 29 years could it be advanced age, lack of exercise,
and even perhaps if in fact it is happening because of radiation it may be that the process back then was more damaging than it is today.
Sorry not much help but I wish you the best. They tell me I will probably face it again. Hopefully, later rather than sooner.

Yes.... I had radiation about 12 years ago for Hodgkins Lymphoma and have noticed within the past year some major muscle atrophy where the radiation hit me. Part of my left pectoral and trapezius muscles are the areas affected. I figured it's a direct result of the radiation because the atrophied section is in the exact area and shape of the radiation beam that was used for 20 treatments.
