Anyone else dressing up for Halloween?

I'll be sitting in the infusion room on Halloween. I'm thinking of going dressed up like a rag doll or clown. Not sure how people will react to that....lol. I get out of chemo at 5pm and I'm hoping I feel good so I can take my kiddos trick or treating too. If you are dressing up, what are you dressing up as and what are your plans?

I personally have never dressed up for Halloween, but I say if it makes you feel good about yourself go for it.

I dress up every year and this year will be no different. I will put on the owl costume I made last year. Hoot Hoot!

I am hoping to attend Steamcon this coming weekend, where this years theme is Victorian Monstors, and I made a Grey Lady costume for the event (Grey Lady from Harry Potter). However, given that my husband (Peroll) has just had surgery and I will most likely bring him home on Friday or Saturday, I don't think I will be going to Steamcon this year. This is more than fine with me as my not going means they removed the ever growing tumor from his body and this is the best news!!!

I'm dressing up for sure. Going to scare the XXX out of the kiddos that come to my door. I love this time of year. My 3 favorite holidays are Halloween, Thanksgiving & Christmas. Last year, my Thanksgiving and Christmas SUCKED as I was dealing with my cancer. I'm looking forward to the holidays this year!! I can't wait to watch my first Christmas movie this year!!

Dressing up for treatment is a Great Idea! If you have to be there, why not have a little fun right? Maybe some of you can come up with some great costume Ideas for treatment room. Like dress up as a: IV bag, a Neutron, the Masked Cancer Crusader.

      What can you think of?

Greg! That's an awesome idea! Hmmm.....the scariest costume ever would be dressing up like a tumor. omg....nevermind....That would be horrible. I'd scare the pants off of all the cancer patients at the center and I'm sure it's inappropriate. LOL

Patient and Cargiver could go as a tumor and the radiation beam.

For me, Halloween is just another opportunity to have fun with my kids. This year my 14 yr old daughter is dressing up as the cutest pirate ever. My 11 year old has decided to be a taco...yes, a taco. LOL My boyfriend and I are attending a Hallowing party on Saturday and we're going as bacon and egg. He's the bacon, I'm the egg. :)

I would love to! But, I don't know anyone who is having a party! And, my husband and I don't drink, so the bar scene is out. We rent, and the apartment complex doesn't really do trick or treat. And, we don't have kids. So, we'll be at home, which is okay. I miss dressing up and stuff! I hope everyone has a great time, whatever you are doing! Hopefully, feeling better!

I go to chemo the day before Halloween, but will go this week as Joan Bon Jovi--complete with mullet, jean vest, etc. If I can make just a few of the patients/nurses smile...or even laugh...it's totally worth it! I guess I'm just a late-blooming class clown, LOL.

I vote for Raggedy Anne.... Rent a costume or make one.... With a beautiful red yarn wig. I know we had some fun times during chemo. The staff would dress up... some patients, and they'd have cookies and punch. Go for it!!!!

If you do go as Raggedy Anne... Maybe carry a basketful of decorated cookies (store bought pumpkin shaped) The idea IS to bring smiles... Act corny, dance and sing, "I'm a little teapot"... Have a good time.

This is a wonderfully life affirming idea. I hope you get to do it. It doesn't really matter how other folks react. If they react at all, you will have made their day better. Best wishes for recovered good health.

I am dressing up as the "first bag of chemo". As pointed out if one dressed up as a CA cell, one would get killed in the chemo center.
