Last year my colon cancer got into my right adrenal gland. We tried chemo but it grew so I had the adrenal gland removed via robotic surgery in October. It went well and recovery was easy. You have twoadrenal glands so loosing one is not a problem. Good Luck

My dad, with his previous cancer, had non-small cell squamous, lung cancer, and they detected a growth on his adrenal gland. They went through with a biopsy, and it turned out to be nothing. It was mentioned on the radiology reports from the follow-up scans for the other cancer, and did not grow. Did they determine that you have cancerous metastasis to an adrenal gland?

You might look through our diagnoses page for non small cell lung cancer, look down towards the bottom there are some subtypes, and if you click on some of the other people who have that, you can see their experiences. This might help.

I am in stage IV lung cancer. They found an adrenal adenoma on my left kidney. My Doctor explained that at least 95% when found are benign. He did a biopsy and it was benign. Actually many people have one and it isn't found unless they have to be autopsied for another reason, If t5hey find one, I hope you are in the 95% bracket.
