    Anyone had Therasphere treatment?

I am a possible candidate for Therasphere treatment. Has anyone had any experience with that?

      Not me.

But I looked it up and it turns out I have a friend who had it done before his liver transplant. He is, today, glowing with vitality. Truly amazing.

Wow, the second procedure this morning I've read about today that I have never heard of. Technology is advancing! I will have to look it up.

I believe this may be the same as SIRT (selective internal radiation therapy). If my insurance approves it I will be having my planning angiogram in the next two weeks. Apparently there are not a lot of us that have had this. I asked for others experience with this last week on here and got no response at all. All I can tell you is my radiation dr said the most common complaint is fatigue. I will keep you posted on my progress. Meanwhile....keep smiling and living life!

I had therasphere treatment to my primary liver cancer tumor in april of 2012. It killed my tumor and I have had no reoccurance in my liver. I believe that theraspheres are for primary liver cancer and sir spheres are for mets to the liver. I have been on Nexavar for 2 1/2 years for lung mets from my liver cancer, it has worn out its welcome and I will be starting on a new clinical drug trial for those in 3 weeks Wish me luck
