Anyone have experience with SIRT Y90?

Going to ask the DR about this, we are looking for options at this point. If anyone has ever had it performed, I would be interested in hearing about it

I don't have personal experience, but I've known several people who have had Y90. The procedure itself seems to relatively easy in terms of recovery. Not everyone is a candidate as it depends on the location of your tumors. It's definitely worth asking about.

I recently had this procedure for Mets in the liver. It was a three part procedure. The first was mapping of the liver, second was the injection of the spheres into the right side and lastly into the left. The procedure itself is easy and done as an outpatient. Recovery was fine- felt like I had the flu after the first injection. Fatigue after both. Don’t have results related to efficacy as scans have to be done a couple months after. That time frame gives the radioactive isotopes time to shrink the tumors. Hope that info helps.

Thank you GeeKay, Doctor said he will bring it up to the liver board who meets once a week to see if my hubs is a candidate. He does also have a few small enlarged lymoh nodes so he wasn't sure if he was a good candidate. Im hoping cause I think it will be better than LonSurf
