    Anyone know of a good way to boost there white blood cells up ? i have had to miss out on 2 rounds of my chemo

    i am on oxypilatin and Leucovorin 3 hours and 5-fu pump for 46 hours. They replaced 5-fu for the xaloda pills i was on they made me very sick so i have had 1 sestion of my new drugs and then my white bloods cells went down. they already cut my doseing down by 10% they said they can not go more then 20% .

      I cut out milk. A friend of a friend that has fought breast cancer had to keep missing Chemo. I loved milk and cookies or cereal with milk. I stopped drinking it and I was able to start Chemo again. Seemed like a small thing, but it worked. I guess milk didn't do my body good. Hope this helps.

      accupuncture as much as i can. we have a community accupuncture which means its very affordable

      I'm also on Neulasta. And the my treatment is called FOLFOX which includes oxypilatin as well Leucovorin. So far, I've had one low blood count, but no nausea. I was told to drink a lot of water especially after a 3 day treatment with FOLFOX. Sometimes they can give an antinausea med through an IV. One trick that I was told was to eat simple carbs like plain pasta right before treatment. It takes away most of the nausea.
