Mom had damage to her right eye, but the cancer was in the right maxillary sinus with right optic nerve impingement. Her right eye was also in the field of radiation, as was her left ear; she has damage to both, though I believe it was due to the radiation. No heart problems.

Sorry to keep adding things. She did have a lot of eye irritation during active treatment and needed eye drops every 4 hours. I don't believe she had permanent damage to the left eye, but she did to the right eye (again, probably due to radiation). She did have lens implants to both eyes for cataracts prior to diagnosis and that may have sort of protected the corneas.

No problems with eyes or heart. Lots of other problems, but doctors have determined that most of my problems were due to the other drug in my cocktail which caused ototoxicity and vestibular dysfunction (@BoiseB, find a physical therapist who specializes in vestibular dysfuction. I had to basically learn how to walk again. My PT didn't think I'd ever function within a normal range again since I had very severe bilateral vestibular dysfuction, but she performed wonders and while I'm not 100% and still need to be careful, I am drastically improved and normally well within a normal range.) I don't believe any long-term effects that I have were due to 5FU.
