      While The Melanoma International Foundation,

focuses on melanoma, one of its forums is designed for caregivers and most discussions are germane to any cancer, not just melanoma.

Hello, most hospitals offer caregiver counseling or can suggest a group that you can attend, especially for cancers like colon where there is a high familial heredity component. Your own personal physician can also suggest someone and I believe that the cancer society has workshops available too. As a caregiver, might I suggest that you go to the website www.mycure.com and register for a free subscription to Cure Magazine? This comes out 4 times a year and your first issue will also be delivered with a booklet called "The Toolkit" that contains valuable resources for patients and their caregivers. It is a valuable source of information and support and is available to patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals. Best of luck to you, Carm.

      Hi Barb_TX,
The American Cancer Society has a great webpage on caregiver support:
Let us know if there is anything else we can help you with!

      Barb, check out www.mylifeline.org/

Best of luck, I know my wife had it harder than I did when I had pancreatic cancer surgery/home from the hospital.
