There are many organizations who offer toys/food around the holidays. Most of them receive their nominees from the hospital or treating facility. Speak to the social worker where your husband was treated and see what resources are available. Also see if they offer a support group or bereavement group for children of cancer patients - we offer one at our hospital. You could also check with ACS or Livestrong or Patient Advocate Foundation or Cancer Care. I admire you for trying to put your kids first for the holidays, but please do something for yourself also. They need you and you need to avail yourself of whatever resources are out there for you also.
