Are there low cost options for home caregivers?

Are there low cost options for home caregivers?
My mother is supposed to be sent home in the next few days but can't stand on her own and will need around the clock care. My sisters aren't strong enough physically to do this and i don't live in the area.

If it is for medically necesssary care, Medicare will pay for it. They won't pay for housekeeping care (cooking, grooming, cleaning, etc.). However, there are some volunteer organizations that will cook meals or provide transportation for cancer patients. You sisters should check with her oncologist to see what is available in that area.
