As a caregiver, worrying about proper Nutrition and Hydration habits for when my sister comes home from a bout of C diff after er surgery

Hospital is pumping her with fluid, nutrition, antibiotics and essential elements. How do we replicate that at home?
Also, this is fourth abdominal surgery in 9 months

Suggest she drink plenty of water and eat a balanced diet. If her blood tests show nutritional deficiencies, use supplements for those elements.

Maybe one of those over the counter nutrition supplements like Boost can help her. Personally, I love chocolate MuscleMilk because of its high protein content.
I remember coming from a hospital setting like that on a low fiber low residue diet. In the hospital, they gave me a lot of apple juice (Hi C) or grape juice as well as very small amounts of food like applesauce or homemade soups.
