Chrissy, Sorry to hear that your chempo has not worked for you to date. That being said there are lots of options for other treatments. Things like cyberknife, radiofrwequency ablation and a treatment where they freeze the tumor among others may work for you. It sounds to me like your case is beyond the normal by the book treatments and you need Drs that can think outside the normal box of treatments. I fit ths catregory too. I suggest that it might be time for a second opinion and if possible you should get one from a Dr associated with a research clinic or hospital that specializes in Lung cancer as they will have acces to all of the latest treatments and trials.Good Luck.

      Chrissy,
I agree with Peroll...You need to seek a second opinion and consider a clinic... Mayo's would look everything over before making an appointment with you to save you time. Cancer center of America are constantly advertising on tv but my sister in-law who had advanced pancreatic cancer before I got diagnosed with lung was was advised to stay here in Peoria for treatment. I have just graduated to 6 month scans and I can tell you that it is scary to go that long because every time I get ill I fear it has spread.... Check out what is available on ask.com...Keep us posted

Have you been mutation tested? Go to "lets test now" to learn about the benefits of targeted therapy for mutations. Then you can call the lung cancer alliance to find a lung cancer expert near you. This is very important. They have people who will help you.

Check Proton therapy and read about it. This might be something for you as well but you need to be with a Lung Cancer EXPERT at a cancer center.

With the best hope for you.
