    Bone Cancer with Prosthetic Humerus

I know it's rare, but has anyone had a humeral prosthesis implanted? I am having some difficulty and wondered if anyone can share an experience. I am about 10 plus years post surgery. Can't get in to see my orthopedic oncologist for over a month. Pain is large and movement in arm is minimal.

When searching the database for the whatnext experiences I don't find prosthetic humerus, but I do find a few prosthetic devices put in, you might get some help from one of these.

I have found an answer at last. Not a great one, but an answer. There is an orthopedic process known as reverse prostheses, where they basically take the head of the prostheses and turn it upside down and XXX the bottom into your shoulder. Yeah, that's what I thought too! I am going to avoid having this at great length. Recovery with all said and done is about a year. Until then, I will look at Greg's weather chart and keep you updated on my forecast. Partly cloudy today!
