Breast with implant radiated. How long did you continue to "cook" after radiation?

I finished radiation in January 2010. It is now October 2011. I feel that the radiated breast with the Mentor Memory Gel implant is still changing inside. Before radiation, the reconstructed breast was soft and natural feeling. Today the breast feels much harder inside. I am wondering when it will stop changing inside?

Please let me know if you find out the answer to your question. I have two more chemo treatments and then I will be facing the same issue. I found the expanders to be the worst part of this whole ordeal. I would hate hate hate..to finally get my implants and have the radiation ruin them. I have been trying to find out if I can put off the surgery until after the radiation. However, if you still feel the effects of the radiation 9 months later ??? I could never wait that long !!
