Alison, if you want to do a little searching, you can go to the "people" tab at the top of the page, then scroll down to the bottom of the page and on the left side you will see where you can enter a XXXX many miles away from you, to search for people on this site that are close to you. Once you get some results on that search you can look on their profiles and see who they used, or just drop them a msg.

Let me know if you need help in searching.

Thanks for posting, be patient, sometimes it takes a little while to find the right person with your answer.

There are several excellent cancer hospitals in the Twin Cities area, but you can't do better than the Mayo Clinic just down the road in Rochester.

Your doctor should be able to.

I agree with Harry. I received incredible treatment at Mayo from an integrated team of specialists. It's worth the drive, if only for an exploratory conversation. They'll also coordinate with your TC medical team if you'd like. Good luck!

I'd suggest asking your oncologist's staff to reommend one. Call the American Cancer Society in the Twin Cities. I know Minnesota Oncology had speakers etc. for dealing with cancer and daily life. . You might want to talk to someone there. They deal with the whole package there. From how one deals with changing looks, (some actually believe that bald is not beautiful).. what do they know... or for that matter why should they know?? :) If you don't get any referrals, get back to me and I'll get you a name or three and their phone numbers. God bless you Alison...

I live in Minneapolis and got a lot of support from Nancy Cox, a healing coach through the Penny George Institute for Health and Healing (an amazing resource for acupuncture, biofeedback, massage, etc., all of which has helped me through this past year). Nancy is not a therapist, but she can provide support and recommendations. You can reach her at[phone number redacted]. She's located in the Virginia Piper Institute across from Abbott Northwestern.
