Can you get a second opinion? I'm sorry to hear this. Hugs.

While it is true that breast cancer that has spread is not considered curable, there are many patients living near normal lives with the new treatments like Irance and Vercenio. Have you gotten a second opinion from a larger treatment center?

I'm so sorry that you got injured on top of everything that you were already dealing with.

As for gaining weight, it's all about getting calories in you. I lost around 50# in each of 3 cancer diagnoses I had. I got a milkshake at every opportunity and ate whatever I wanted as often as I could. Even if you aren't hungry and don't think you can keep it down, eat or drink something anyway, several times a day. All of us at WhatNext wish you the best.

Gosh, you have a lot on your plate, that's for sure. But, your Can-Do attitude is a winner!!!

My cancer is incurable too but that doesn't mean I can't live with it as a chronic disease. That's what I've been doing for the last 6.5 years.

You are right to realize that your first goal should be to get nourishment in your tiny body and put on some pounds. Kidding here, but I sure wish I could send you some. We'd both look and feel better if that was possible.

I have a friend who has fought cancer for over 25 years. About 4 years ago, the doctor who has treated her through several cancers and recurrences told her he could do nothing more for her. He basically told her to go home and die. (Seems like what your doctor is doing.)

She, like you, wasn't ready to give up. She switched to my doctor. And, she's still here. In fact, she's getting ready to go to Switzerland for 3 weeks or so.

So ... I agree. Go get another opinion or two or three. Have you considered getting into a clinical trial? That's what I did when there was no more hope and that was nearly 6 years ago.

Wishing and praying for the best for you.

I so agree with everything everyone said here. It’s way too soon to give up, and recent advances in medical science may well be available to you. I, too, suggest you seek other oncologists’ opinions, especially at a major cancer hospital. Sending you best wishes.

I did al the Dr prescribed stuff and now do all natural. This helped me colonic to get rid of old toxins built up in colon, lymph node cleaning forgot what it's called, UV blood irradiation w ozone, Hocatt w ozone and PEMF. I drink chlorophyll in water and take a ph balancer powder w water. I am doing good. You should call me but first email me at bwwelldrilling at Yahoo. I will be starting a biofeedback pemf soon too, may just buy one. To start gaining weight first set your fear aside ...the nervous energy is eating your calories.

Have you tried CBD oil? Seems from research that CBD oil does ease symptoms of cancer. If you live in a state that allows CBD with the THC, you can get RSO (rick simpson oil). I took CBD oil soon after being diagnosed with sclc, and it certainly did help with some of the symptoms. BTW, I have had my first clear CT, and am now contemplating whether or not to have whole brain preventative radiation

Boy, you'll be in my thoughts and prayers during this really hard time.
I hope you can find some help and relief with holistic. Or, at least get another opinion from a doctor.
Personally, I'd rather go an all natural or holistic route for both myself and my cat if possible. Sometimes drugs are necessary, but holistic is better if you can.

Use all the holistic you want - IN ADDITION to scientifically-proven oncoligical treatments. If one doctor gives up, seek at least one more oncologist’s recommendations before accepting that no more medical treatments are available. And, as LiveWithCancer says here, see if you can get into a trial. Best wishes.

Go to another doctor at a major medical center/medical school for a second opinion as soon as possible. Also ask about clinical trials (research), which have treatments not available to the public.

Don't delay. Here's a link to a list by state of NIH National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers with contact phone numbers:

If you don't want to travel for treatment, you can just get an opinion about other treatments and discuss your options.

Best wishes to you. You are in a state with several leading centers on the list.

P.S. Try to gain some weight. Eat protein and drink nutrition supplements like High Protein Boost. If you aren't able to eat, ask a gastroenterologist to give you a feeding tube in your stomach to keep you from losing and to help you gain. (It can easily be done bedside and can be removed later if you want.)

Hello, I'm an oncology nurse and I am sorry to hear you are going through this. Although I rarely ever suggest this. I have had a few patients who had similar issues and when docs say there is nothing else, I have suggested they get a second opinion at the Burzynski clinic in Texas. I have studied his work for a long time with antineoplastons and he has had some great successes. Best of luck to you.

I want you to know you are a child of God and he loves you and can help you with your troubles. I have gone thru mastectomy aug, 2016, radiation, then was DX with bone cancer. Kind of thinking radiation may of caused it to spread. Then, chemo and had tumor markers of 40 and less for a year but last March 2019 it was up to 62. I,m about to launch into testing to see what's going on. I started on apricot seeds, beetroot pills, baking soda in water. I'm about to try food grade peroxide in water. Stress relief is a must! Rest as needed and eat a good healthy diet, drink clean water . I'm also going to try coffee enemas to help detox. I'm only 66 and am not about to give up or give in to the so called 5 years!!! We got this!! CHARGE Forward!! Much love and blessings.
