    can lung cancer be treated as a chronic condtion

      Technically, yes. Chronic cancer means that cancer cells are not eliminated and treatment focuses on containing further growth in order to provide a better quality of life for the patient for as long as possible.

      Thank you nancyjac. This gives me some hope. I am recently diagnosed and yes, afraid. My doctors say my cancer should be operatable but just in case it is good to know the diagnosis of lung chancer is not a fast death thing.
