This is what my husband is now being treated for. The cancer from his colon at the present is gone, and removed. Although we were told that the tumor on the lining of his lung could be removed via surgery (it is near his heart), they said it is also risky and he is being treated with chemo. The chemo has been working...Good Luck!

I was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma of the lungs. Surgery was not am option since there was no primary tumor. Condition was found because I had a pleural effusion. I had 12 treatments of carboplatinn with a progression to 3 small tumors. Then 3 trtmts of taxotere - 3 tumors shrunk slightly. Will reevaluate after 6th taxotere trmt. Thet are still talking no surgery. PS..I was given a low survival time - it's been 12 months already!

I believe the source of my tumors are the lining of the lung. I'm newly diagnosed and trying to sort through all this. I was told it was inoperable but plan to obtain a second opinion from a thoracic surgeon specializing in lung cancer. Would like to follow you and see what you learn about it.
