    chemo not an option

    My husband's platelet count is too low. They wont give him chemo. What do we do now?

      What did they say when they told you the platelets are too low? Didn't they tell you how to get them higher? Good foods, and transfusions as Freebird says. This is not uncommon, they take your blood work every time you go for chemo treatments, and if it is too low they will not give you chemo. Good luck to you...

      I think they wait awhile until platelet count back up then start again
