Yes I know that feeling, waiting to go in for your check up. EVerything seems fine, nothing hurts, no signs, but still you wonder. But we know everything will be fine, right? Wishing you clean scans and happy afternoon after visit.

I just had my follow-up bone scan and ct scans on May 3 -- I was terrified -- my mind started wandering and I could not even sleep. Knowing how apprehensive I was, they were kind enough to call me with the results later that day but they only had the results of the bone scan and one of the ct scan -- and it was a Friday so I had to wait until Monday for the remaining results. It was a long weekend --- but everything was okay. I just hope it gets better. I try so hard not to be paranoid. I am sure you will also do fine. I wish you the best.

I finished my rads in March, no chemo. First mammo is October and I have moments of nervousness wondering if it will be clear and worried they'll find something in the other breast so I know how you must feel. Hope everything goes well for you.

It is scary every time they have to do another test now, I know. But, you are being monitored closely, that is the important thing. So, assume the best, but be comforted that you are right where you need to be if any more treatment is needed. Believe in the best for yourself, one day of worrying interferes with the good life you deserve! This is fear we all have, normal, but you are going to get through this! We are all here praying and sending good thoughts!

I too am coming up on my one year exam and am holding my breath. I am told I have nothing to worry about because I was stag 0 when DCIS was discovered and I had a BL mastectomy. So I know what you are going through. I hope that yours comes out clean and clear. Hang in there it will all be over soon and when you come out clean and clear you can stop holding your breath and breath a sigh of relief. Good luck.

Sometimes I wonder if waiting for results is the worst part. As debco148 said, you are being monitored closely and that is the important thing. I tell myself that I am being watched so closely that if anything does show up it should be small and manageable. Take care, adelia11. Let us know how it goes.

I think we are all nervous every year when it's time for the mammogram, but each year it gets a little less scary. I am six years out now but I still have a friend go with me and we go out to eat and celebrate when it's over. My surgeon always writes the orders so that the radiologist reads it right away and gives me results before leaving. That really helps. Good luck
