    cost of yervoy-help out there?

    ive been let go from my job and okd for cobra for health insurance but they arent going to cover prescriptions -just got informed zelboraf isnt working so they want to do yervoy-is this considered a treatment or a medication?also is therev any financial assistance out there to help with the drugs?im in ny -im okd for ssdi but they say medicaid wait for two yrs-is that normal?

      There is a cost assistance program for patients. Good luck to you, not just in finding help paying, but responding to Yervoy.

      I was worried about this when I reached the age for Medicare, and I had to choose my prescription drug coverage plan. I knew Yervoy might be in my future, but it wasn't listed on any of the prescription drug plans. When it came time for me to get it, it was covered as part of treatment, I think because it is administered in the infusion room at the hospital. I'm more than one year out from my Yervoy treatments, and my melanoma appears inactive. I hope you have the same good results.
