Sorry to hear this. There are so many factors in play with this virus, age, physical condition, underlying conditions, etc. What is the doctor saying ? Many more people are recovering due to new treatments for it now. Hopefully you’ll be getting better very soon. Wishing y’all well.

Have you let his oncologist know? I would think that his oncologist and their facility have insights on what to do and what to look for. Best wishes to get through this.

What JaneA Said: talk to your oncologist first.

      We ARE in this together!

I have an 88 year old friend who was diagnosed recently. She doesn't have cancer, but she does have age going against her. She is to stay home and take aspirin and lots of Vitamin C. I'd probably add some Vit D and Zinc to that. I would say that the first thing you should do is not freak out. Lots and Lots and Lots of people have had COVID and come through it with flying colors. Get a lot of rest. Drink a lot of liquids.

I'll be hoping and praying that you and your husband recover in record time with no need at all to go to the hospital.

Please keep us up to date with how you're both doing. (How are you feeling now? nervous, I know, but physically how are the two of you doing?)

@lindi143, I too am really over this year. I am sorry you have been having a rough time with hurricanes. My husband and I were just talking about how it seems like every few years one area starts to be the "hotspot" for them. When we first got married, it was the North Carolina coast- especially near Wilmington. We had an evacuation every year for like three years. In[phone number redacted], the east coast got a lot too. We had mandatory evacuations 2016, 2017 and 2018. In 2019, we decided to ride it out.
What a hard year 2020 has been for so many. COVID, Cancer, elections and campaigns, so much civil unrest. So many lives changed, ruined, taken. I am ready for the prospect of a happier 2021.

Take care of yourself. Just try to rest, relax and know that this too shall pass. I will say some extra prayers that COVID has minimal impact on you and your husband.

Live with cancer. How thoughtful of you. He is better but still really sick. It’s gonna take a long time. Thank you for reaching out. I feel very alone in all
      This.

Oh, lindi143, I'm sorry!! I do understand - it is difficult when we have to be so careful. I'm glad he's better but sorry he's still got a long way to go.

You know we are here for you any time!! I suspect someone is around just about all of the time. I feel so sad that you are feeling so alone. That's a horrible feeling.

Didn't you say you also had COVID? How are you doing?
