I have had a number of liposarcomas of differing sizes in my thigh and groin and my lung. It's been a long journey (18 years), but I'm still here and living my life.
I had radiation before my first surgery to shrink the tumor as it was so large. I was cancer free for 10 years, and then it came back in my groin.
To treat my lung, I've had Cyberknife, which has worked very well. I've had various other treatments to my thigh (chemo, RFA, Crioblation). There is a new procedure called NanoKnife that has had success, altho it's in just a few hospitals for now.
Let me know what questions you have, and I'll try to answer them. Please keep this in mind - altho liposarcomas are rare, there are new treatments being developed. All the best to you.
